Instructor: MICHELE WILSON Welcome to Anatomy with Mrs. Wilson! This year, we will be using Apologia's Exploring Creation with Human Anatomy and Physiology. We will meet together each week to cover, on average, half of a lesson per week. We will almost always have a hands-on lab activity or experiment to reinforce the lesson. Take this in-depth journey into the anatomy and physiology of your body through Exploring Creation with Human Anatomy and Physiology by Jeannie Fulbright and pediatrician Brooke Ryan, M.D.. From the brain in your head to the nails on your toes, you and your students will encounter fascinating facts, engaging activities, intriguing experiments, and loads of fun as you learn about the human body and how to keep it working well. Beginning with a brief history of medicine and a peek into cells and DNA, your students will voyage through fourteen lessons covering many subjects, such as the body systems: skeletal, muscular, respiratory, digestive, cardiovascular, nervous, and more! They’ll study nutrition and health, how God designed their immune system to protect them, along with embryology and what makes them a unique creation of God. OPTIONAL CURRICULUM: For 3rd-4th Grade, the book is required for at-home use and homework. BOOK: Apologia Exploring Creation with Human Anatomy and Physiology LAB NOTEBOOK: OPTIONAL!! Apologia Exploring Creation with Human Anatomy and Physiology Notebooking Journal (can be the Junior edition for younger or older students, if you prefer) SUPPLY FEE: There is a $25.00 Supply Fee for the year. This will cover all experiments and hands-on activities. THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE COST OF THE COURSE. YOU WILL NOT NEED TO PAY IT SEPARATELY. HOMEWORK: All homework is optional and guided by families at home using the note book
