“Can we just play some matches?” It’s one of the questions we hear most from our junior players. We know that while coaching sessions are essential for developing technique, there comes a point where players simply want to get out on court and put those skills into practice, to compete, solve problems, test themselves and enjoy the challenge of playing real opponents. That’s why, this summer, we’re doing something different. Rather than running traditional coaching weeks, we’re dedicating four days entirely to match play across three sessions, each one designed around how children actually learn to compete, whatever age or stage they’re starting from. Because sometimes, the best way to become a better tennis player is simply to play more tennis.
