Culinary arts is a visual art so we will be working on the five elements of Presentation and plating techniques. On day 1 we will learn some knife safety and specific cooking techniques to prepare a savory appetizer, including a sauce.. Day 2 will consist of working with some commercial blenders and mixers along with baking to create a dessert dish with a beautiful garnish. Clothing requirements for safety: No open-toed shoes, sandals or flip flops. Must have shoes/boots. No tank tops. No shorts. Must have long pants with no holes and shirt. Long hair should be pulled up. No jewelry.
