In the Health Occupations Camp participants will learn how to accurately measure and document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respirations, temperature, and oxygen saturation. In addition to skill development, students will earn certifications in CPR, First Aid, AED, and Stop the Bleed, equipping them with essential life-saving techniques used in both healthcare settings and everyday emergencies. This camp is ideal for students interested in exploring careers in healthcare while building practical skills, confidence, and preparedness for real-world situations. Clothing requirement for safety: No open toe shoes, sandals or flip flops. Must have shoes/boots. No tank tops. No holes in clothing. Buses will be available from Hale, Whittemore-Prescott, and Oscoda schools. They will bring campers to the Camp at Iosco RESA from the local school buildings and buses will take students back to the home school at the end of the camps. Parents at Hale can take students to the school parking lot by 8 am. Bus will leave by 8:15 for Iosco RESA. Students will be back at Hale schools by 3:40 pm. Parents at Whittemore-Prescott can take students to the high school parking lot by 8 am. Bus will leave by 8:15 for Iosco RESA. Students will be back at WP by 3:40 pm. Parents at Oscoda can take students to the OSCODA SCHOOLS BUS GARAGE and park along the tennis courts. (there is no supervision here, so please do not drop off students until they can board the bus) The bus will leave the bus garage at 8:15 for Iosco RESA. Students will be back at the Oscoda bus garage by 3:40 pm.
