About This Activity
Directed by Adam and Amanda Olson. Campers will grow musically, socially and spiritually during this exciting week of musical instruction. In addition to musical growth, campers will participate in fun activities, Bible studies and free time. This camp is primarily for students who have some experience on their instrument, but advanced level playing is not required. Each day begins and ends with Bible-focused devotionals and singing. Highly qualified instructors conduct morning clinics to sharpen musical skills. The Florida College Friends will coach bands in afternoon rehearsals to strengthen team building skills. Bands will be put together on Sunday evening, rehearse each afternoon and perform Friday evening for family and friends. Students may check in from 3-5 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Day campers will be provided lunch, afternoon snack and dinner. Drop off each day (M-F) between 8:30-8:45 a.m. Pick up between 3:15-3:30 p.m. each day, except for Thursday. Thursday evening will be our dress rehearsal and all day campers are asked to stay until 9 pm. Friday we ask that day campers return for dinner at 5 pm with the concert to follow. We look forward to seeing you for Camp Rock 2024! As a side note: A comparable music camp in Tampa will cost over $500 and does not include meals. These savings are realized because of the volunteerism of Florida College's network of alumni and friends.
