About This Activity
Welcome to Camp JOY—Jesus, Others, and Yourself, a joyful, faith-filled summer camp where children can grow in their love for God, serve others, and discover more about themselves and the Sisters of Notre Dame Academy through fun and creative activities! This camp is designed to be a perfect blend of learning about faith, doing acts of service, and creating memories through crafts and hands-on projects. Camp Highlights: -Mini-Service Projects: Every day, campers will do small service projects with great love to help others in the community. These projects may include making care packages for local shelters, crafting cards for those in need, or even making sandwiches for the Toledo Labre program (partnership between NDA, SJJ, and SUA). Campers will experience the joy of helping others while learning how to be Christ’s hands and feet. -Creative Crafts: In addition to service, campers will enjoy a variety of craft projects that help them express their creativity while reflecting on Beauty and faith. From creating prayer beads and painting inspirational art to designing friendship bracelets, each craft will inspire joy and gratitude. -Learning About the Sisters of Notre Dame: Campers will also learn about the inspiring work and the joyful simplicity of the Sisters of Notre Dame. Through fun stories, interactive activities, and visits (if possible), they will discover how the Sisters joyfully live out the Gospel and make a difference in the world. -Faith, Fun & Friendship: Throughout the week, campers will build holy and authentic friendships. Through group games, prayer, and community-building activities, they will learn how Jesus loved, how to love others, and how to love themselves. At Camp JOY, every day is a new opportunity to learn, grow, and serve—discovering the joy that comes from Jesus, others, and yourself. We look forward to sharing this joyful journey with your child!
