About This Activity
Join us as we explore Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) at York University! Spend the day exploring coding, machine learning, and space technology with Micro:bit! Train a Micro:bit to recognize gestures and control a nightlight while learning how machines use data to make decisions. Then discover how satellites navigate using gyroscopes and accelerometers, and apply these concepts to code your own limbo game. Explore how coding and AI are shaping our world. Audience: Black youth in grades 8 to 11 Date: Saturday, November 21, 2026 Time: 10am to 2pm
