Withrow Ball Hockey Academy Week 1: All-Star Prep Week (Girls) Dates: June 29 and June 30 Location: Withrow Park Overview: All-Star Prep Week (Girls) is a dedicated training week designed to support and develop female athletes as the women’s and girls’ divisions in ball hockey continue to grow across Ontario and Canada. This week focuses on skill development, confidence-building, and leadership, while preparing players for competitive play, including upcoming OBHF minor provincial tournaments. By training in an all-female environment, athletes benefit from focused coaching, strong peer support, and a positive space that encourages growth, teamwork, and self-belief both on and off the court. What We’ll Focus On: Elite Skill Development: Targeted drills to improve stickhandling, passing, shooting accuracy, defensive positioning, and game awareness. Game Strategy & Team Play: Understanding systems, transitions, and situational play commonly used in tournament competition. Competitive Scrimmages: Structured game play that mirrors provincial-level competition and builds game confidence. Strength, Conditioning & Confidence: Age-appropriate fitness, resilience training, and mental preparation to support long-term athletic development. Leadership & Empowerment: Encouraging athletes to lead, communicate, and support one another while embracing their role in the growing women’s game. All-Star Prep Week (Girls) is ideal for athletes preparing for provincial tournaments or those looking to take the next step in their ball hockey journey—while being part of a supportive, empowering, and inspiring environment.
