The Winter Term (Term 2) Senior Program builds on the fundamentals taught in the Term 1 program to continue to be bold and daring actors. Improvisation plays a strong role in the Senior Program, allowing actors to follow their instincts and impulses. Character work is introduced, as well as drawing on the life experiences of the actor to share an honest and organic performance. The first half of Term 2 Senior Drama Program focuses on improvisation, script-writing, comedy, stage combat, classical theatre training techniques, Shakespeare, vocal training and musical theatre, followed by the introduction and auditioning process of the final musical performance scheduled for the end of Term 3. There is no final performance in this term (Term 2). Instead, the class hosts an Open House at the end of Term 2. Ages: 12 to 18 years old Duration: 11 weeks of classes Time: 1.5 hours per week Performance: A final performance is introduced in Term 2. The final performance is held on the last day of Term 3
