Smart Toy Lab - Students discover how interactive systems work: how a button, switch, touch, or signal can cause something to light up, move, make sound, or respond. An exciting hands-on introduction to Circuits and Robotics, allowing kids to explore solid foundation for Technology product development This winter semester focuses on cause-and-effect thinking, one of the foundations of computational thinking. Students explore simple inputs and outputs through hands-on circuits, buttons, conductive materials, light-and-sound challenges, and playful controller-style activities. They begin to understand that “smart” toys and interactive devices are not magic, they are systems made from parts that work together. Children practice logical thinking as they CODE to bring their creations to be SMART and come to life. This term strengthens early systems thinking by helping students connect physical actions to responses they can see, hear, and explain.
