Forky wasn’t supposed to be a robot...., but with a little imagination and engineering, anything is possible! In this playful robotics camp, students turn recycled materials into expressive, moving robots. Campers become inventors, builders, and coders as they bring their quirky creations to life through circuits and code. Campers work through creative build challenges where imagination and testing guide the process. Campers will: - Learn the engineering design process for product design - Ideate and brainstorm what makes a toy fun and SMART - Design a junk robot using recycled materials - Plan movement and behaviour - Build circuits with motors and sensors - Program behaviours using block-based coding - Experiment with sensor input - Debug and improve behaviour - Share their robot during the final showcase This stage emphasizes creative experimentation and cause-and-effect thinking. BONUS: : MICRO:BIT and accompanying motor and sensors are complementary. Students will take the entire project home
