About This Activity
What if your clothes could light up, or your cuddle friend could react, or tell a story? In this creative tech camp, students blend wearable technology, design, and code to make a cuddly plushie friend that is smart and reacts to its surroundings. Campers become designers and engineers, turning everyday wear into interactive creations. Camper will learn the fundamentals of electricity, circuits, and coding in this fun and educational camp. Kids will make their cute plushies with built-in circuits. Campers will: - Learn the engineering design process - Ideate and brainstorm your perfect cuddly monster - Learn the basics of mechanical and electrical engineering - Learn the basics of programming - Learn basic circuitry with Arduino - Design your cuddly plushie friend - Plan component placement - Build wearable circuits - Program simple behaviours - Experiment with sensors and feedback - Adjust designs and code - Share creations in a showcase
