About This Activity

How do doctors, neuroscientists, physiologists, and biomedical researchers use mathematics? This enrichment course investigates mathematical ideas behind the human body and medical science. Students will explore questions involving circulation, diffusion, growth, neural activity, feedback systems, medical probabilities, and biological data. Through problem solving and modeling, students will learn how mathematics can help describe, predict, and explain biological processes.
