Club SciKidz’s Emergency Medicine is an immersive, STEAM-accredited medical program designed for aspiring doctors, nurses, and surgeons. The curriculum focuses on the physiology of the human body and the high-stakes world of emergency triage. Core Learning Objectives: Clinical Skills & Diagnostics: Campers learn to use professional medical instruments. They master taking blood pressure, performing triage, and even the "In The Field" technique of administering a shot (simulated). Surgical Techniques (The Suturing Workshop): A camper favorite, this module introduces the art of closing a wound. Using professional needle drivers, forceps, and scalpels, campers practice precision stitching on various mediums. Comparative Anatomy (Dissections): To understand how life works, we go beneath the surface. Campers perform detailed dissections of Sheep Hearts and Frogs, identifying chambers, valves, and organ systems. Emergency Interventions: * First Aid & Splinting: Mastering the mechanics of broken bones and wound care. The Respiratory Lab: Building functional lung models to visualize gas exchange. Herbal & Modern Medicine: Exploring the bridge between natural remedies and pharmaceutical science.
