Club SciKidz’s Junior AI and Chat Bots is a pioneer STEM.org accredited program that introduces elementary and middle school students to the core concepts of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Using age-appropriate, visual programming environments like Scratch and specialized AI training tools, campers learn to "train" their computers to recognize patterns and language. Core Learning Objectives: Foundational Machine Learning: Campers explore the "Three Steps of ML": Collecting Data, Training a Model, and Testing. They see firsthand how a computer learns to distinguish between images, text, and sounds. Chatbot Logic & Development: Using block-based coding, students create personalized chatbots. They program "decision trees" and algorithms that allow their bot to answer questions, play games, and simulate human conversation. The "Ethics of AI": We engage campers in critical discussions about digital ethics. They learn about algorithmic bias, the importance of "good data," and how to use AI responsibly as a tool for good. Natural Language Processing (NLP): Campers experiment with how computers "read" and "listen," mastering the logic required to turn human speech into actionable computer code. Quick Facts for Busy Families STEM.org Accredited: Our curriculum is vetted by national experts to ensure it delivers high-value academic outcomes in a fun, camp-style environment. Future-Ready Skills: This program bridges the gap between basic coding and advanced data science, giving campers an early advantage in the most in-demand career sector in the world. Tangible Digital Projects: Every camper leaves with their own hosted chatbot project that they can continue to refine and share with friends and family. Comprehensive Schedule: Standard hours are 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with Pre-Camp (8:00 AM) and Post-Camp (until 5:30 PM) options available at most locations. Don't Just Use AI—Build It As AI continues to change the world, this is the perfect entry
