About This Activity
This is 5 vs 5 team ball Teams will be separated by sex and formed by Circle Rec. Teams are determined based on: Number of available coaches Grade school attended If not possible to keep all kids within their grade school, players will be placed on a team in the nearest town over with at least one peer from their grade school. Coach and teammate requests can be made but are not guaranteed. Introduction to competitive basketball: Allow players to develop confidence and familiarity by forming teams made up of kids from their own grade school, ensuring a supportive and comfortable introduction to competitive basketball. Develop basic basketball skills: learn essential offensive skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting. Introduce man-to-man defense through fun, structured drills that build confidence and understanding. Grow love for the game: At this age, more than anything, we want our athletes to walk away with a love for the game that makes them want to keep playing basketball!
