About This Activity
The goal is to prepare athletes for middle school basketball, where all Circle grade schools come together. A skills combine will be hosted on November 3rd at CMS. All athletes will rotate through stations led by each coach. Afterward, athletes will leave and coaches will draft their teams. Coaches may only protect their own child and their assistant coach’s child. NO restrictions on which team an athlete can end up on Practice locations: Towanda or Benton to provide a centralized location for all Preparation for middle school basketball: form teams that include players from all grade schools, helping kids develop the chemistry and relationships with their peers that they’ll need for middle and high school basketball Refine skills for the next level: Our 5th– 6th grade division is designed to bridge the gap between recreation play and middle school athletics. Players will continue to strengthen their fundamentals while being introduced to basic offensive sets, defensive responsibilities, and overall court awareness. Encourage Leadership and a Lifelong Passion for Basketball: Allow players to take on leadership roles, set examples for others, and demonstrate the t-bird way to everyone they encounter on and off the court.
