About This Activity
Description
Students will be introduced to some of history’s most influential artists and their art styles. The bold emotions of Vincent van Gogh, abstracts from Picasso, landscapes of Claude Monet, golden elegance of Gustav Klimt, and the pointillist precision of George Seurat, will inspire the students to create their own vision and interpretation. Using different mediums such as watercolor and acrylic paints, students will learn different techniques and styles along with fundamentals of color with well guided lessons. This class is a wonderful way for beginners to learn about the arts and take a piece of history with them.
Students should bring an apron or wear an old shirt they can get paint on. Please bring bottled water and a snack to class each day.
