About This Activity
Description
This two-week musical theatre camp is designed to introduce students to the main key elements for musical theater: Singing, Dancing, Acting, Tech and Performance. Students will learn music theory, timing, and harmony techniques through music activities, instrument exploration and memorizing lyrics. Through theater games and team building, students will learn drama characterization, emotional expression, understanding story and dance choreography. Behind the scenes production will be introduced which will include costume, lighting, sound, props, and scene design. After the two-week session, students will perform a musical theater showcase in front of family and friends in the Studio Theatre.
Please bring a water bottle and wear close-toed shoes and clothing that is easy to move in.
