About This Activity
Enthused by nature, campers learn about the basic art elements: line, shape, color, value, texture, form and space. Each day, we will use one or two of these elements to help us study our environment. Every camper will construct individual artwork from found natural materials and other sources. With nature as inspiration, campers will also construct together an ephemeral piece and watch how these works change throughout our time together. Discussion about known artists’ works as it relates to the campers projects will build knowledge around the art elements. Get ready to become nature artists!
