About This Activity
This summer our Young Rembrandts’ students will find themselves captivated by exotic African beasts. Our “Animals of Africa” Pastel Drawing Workshop offers a challenging, yet fun-filled course. Our students will learn about some of Africa’s most majestic animals as they illustrate them using mixed media. An antelope showcased within a mélange of patterns, a stylized zebra with a creative color palette and a regal lion are a few of the beasts to be explored this summer! As with all of our classes, no experience is necessary. Materials will be provided; however, art kits are available to purchase for $20 each if your child would like their own supplies. Young Rembrandts uses an innovative step-by-step method to teach students basic to advanced drawing skills, coloring techniques and art vocabulary. We believe that drawing is the bedrock skill required for future artistic success, and that all children can and should learn to draw. You’ll see increased art abilities, learning skills, self-confidence and self-esteem as your child brings home a new masterpiece after each and every class.
