Marana Parks and Recreation (MPR) Flag Football LeagueCO-Ed ProgramMPR Youth Sports leagues focus on the Youth first and the Sports second. Our Youth participants are reaching several key physical and social-emotional milestones, as league parents, coaches, and administrators it is our responsibility to create an environment that welcomes and encourages positive youth development. MPR Flag Football is a 10-week Recreation, but fast paced 5 on 5 Youth Flag Football League for boys and girls ages 5-13 years old with a single elimination tournament after the regular season. The League provides players a Fun and Safe opportunity to engage in limited contact, compete in continuous action, and face adversity through sports.

POWERED BY VOLUNTEER COACHESOur league is powered with the help of Parent Volunteer Coaches. Coaching youth sports can be a fun and rewarding experience. If interested, Please contact Jacob Jaeger at JJaeger@maranaaz.gov or by phone at 520-310-7523.
Schedule NotesPracticesteams will be assigned a one hour practice slot twice week in-between 5:00p-9:00p. This year there will be to practice locations offered: Crossroads at silver bell district park and Gladden Farms Community Park (practice location will be select by the coach of the team). Teams are typically assign either Tu/Th or M/W practice schedule unless requested otherwise by a coach. Practices will start the week of 12/11, and continue through the duration of the season.GamesAll Games will be located at crossroads at silverbell District Park. Games Are scheduled to be played on Saturdays, January 13th will be the first game of the season. The youngest division will play the first games of the day starting at 9:00am, The Particpant each subsequent game increase with the final games of the day ending by 3:00p

This year there are no tryouts. Players will be randomly selected to their teams.
Volunteer Coaches Needed
This league is powered with the help of volunteer coaches. Coaching can be a rewarding and fun experience. If interested being a coach this season, please contact Jacob Jaeger at jjaeger@maranaaz.gov

ANY PLAYERS WANTING TO "PLAY UP" IN THE NEXT AGE DIVISION WILL NEED TO REGISTER IN PERSON AT THE PARKS & RECREATION ADMINISTRATION OFFICE AND SIGN A CONSENT WAIVER. PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL PLAYERS ARE ONLY ABLE TO PLAY IN ONE LEAGUE.
