About This Activity
Description
This Earn-A-Bike program is designed for middle school students who want to build confidence, skills, and friendships through biking. During this week-long program, you’ll take part in hands-on activities and group rides on neighborhood streets while learning essential bicycle safety, handling, and maintenance skills. You’ll practice fixing a flat tire, riding safely in a group, and performing basic bike care. Along the way, you’ll gain independence and teamwork skills—both on and off the bike—while connecting with other teens in a fun, supportive environment. At the end of the session, you’ll earn a brand-new bike, helmet, lock, and lights to keep! All skill levels are welcome. If you don’t yet know how to ride email us at walknroll@intercitytransit.com and we’ll schedule a Learn to Ride class before your session begins. All equipment is provided by Walk N Roll. Please wear bring: closed toed/closed heeled shoes, comfortable clothes for biking, and a hearty lunch (light snacks will be provided).
For more information, please email walknroll@intercitytransit.com. If you've already participated in a Teens Biking to Destinations program, you cannot take the class again, but you can reach out to walknroll@intercitytransit.com to apply to be a student helper.
