About This Activity
Get a jump-start on the next school year! Fast Forward introduces students to the concepts they will encounter in their next grade level—in a fun, exploratory and no-pressure/no-homework/no-grades structure. Catching the Learning Bug! Scholars will be buzzing with excitement as they become experts on insect life cycles, habitats, and behaviors as they incorporate skills in both language arts and mathematics using hands on manipulatives and digital tools. Farm to Table: Scholars will also get ready to pitch in and work together as they learn the social science of how a product moves from a farm to their own dinner table. They will work collaboratively and use both mathematic and language arts skills to build their own classroom farm out of recycled materials, create factories, and market and sell their own products! Your student will enter second grade confident and ready to learn.
