About This Activity
Teacher: Darlene Streeton (ACE) Learn to hand sew and embroider with Miss Shannon’s Sewing Class! Children will learn how to sew on a button, the running stitch, back stitch and chain stitch. Patching and embellishing clothing is also taught by bringing in different projects to teach each skill. First project, a ladybug coin bag teaches how to sew on a button. Following projects include a lady bug backpack, felt bunting with heart appliqué, an embroidered sampler that teaches 7 different stitches and the amazing fluffy Yeti pillow. All materials, supplies and sewing kit included. Sewing kits include a canvas bag with 15 skeins of thread, pins, needles, scissors and an embroidery hoop, all inside a bright blue canvas bag.
