About This Activity
Instructor: Lauren Wisdom Get ready to twirl, leap, and transform into an elegant ballet dancer! This class is the perfect blend of joyful movement and classic instruction for our 1st-4th graders. In Little Swans, dancers will learn the foundational skills and classic technique of ballet in a supportive, fun environment. - Core Skills: We will practice developing beautiful posture and strong balance. - Ballet Language: Dancers will learn essential ballet terminology, including the 5 positions of the arms and feet! - Musicality & Grace: We explore musicality (dancing to the rhythm) and learn how to move with grace. - Dance Etiquette: Students will also learn proper dance etiquette—how to behave like a respectful and focused dancer in the studio. On the final day of class, parents, family, and friends will be invited into the studio for an informal showing. This is a wonderful chance to see the skills they have learned and celebrate their technique, grace, and confidence! Join us to find the magic and discipline of ballet, setting the stage for a lifetime of dance!
