Registration will close on Saturday, September 4, 2027 at 11:59 PM. Are you passionate about the outdoors and ready to grow as a leader? Join us as we build the next generation of outdoor leaders through engaging leadership development and outdoor skills workshops. Join us for our September Outdoor Leadership Club meeting at Camp Butternut Springs to celebrate Girl Scouts Love State Parks Day! Spend Saturday night at camp, then jump in the Girl Scout vans on Sunday morning to head to Indiana Dunes State Park for the day. We will explore the visitor center, hike on the dunes, and enjoy the sights of the park. Learn a variety of activities to teach younger Girl Scouts as we enjoy one of Indiana’s great state parks! This is a weekend event (Sat 6 PM-Sun 6 PM) and includes an overnight. Sleeping will happen in a lodge on bunk beds. This is a drop off event. This program is designed for participation without an adult chaperone. Transportation is available for this event departing from the Greene Wood Gathering Place on Saturday and returning on Sunday. Sunday breakfast, lunch, and a snack are provided as part of this event. Participants should plan to eat dinner before arriving on Saturday. A patch is included for youth participants registered before Saturday, September 4, 2027. This event will take place both inside and outside across uneven and occasional rugged terrain including gravel, dirt, sand, and/or grass. There is a step to enter the building.
