ASL - where language is in the palm of your hands! In this 15-week class, middle schoolers will strengthen their ASL foundation by learning new vocabulary, syntax (sentence structure), and conversational skills. We will start off with some review to gauge their skills, we will practice through interactive games, role-play, and real-life scenarios to help students feel confident signing with peers. This class goes beyond vocabulary lists — students will explore Deaf culture, storytelling in ASL, and the joy of connecting through a visual language in a fun, engaging way. The last day of class we will have a group presentation. Students can pick between a group or individual project.
