About This Activity
A Day with Jane Austen is a one-day enrichment camp for high school girls that blends literature, creativity, and conversation. Campers explore Jane Austen’s world through engaging discussions, short readings (no prior knowledge required), games, tea time socials, and creative projects. High School girls will build confidence in reading, writing, and self-expression while examining timeless themes like friendship, love, independence, and social expectations—past and present. Perfect for both devoted readers and curious newcomers, this is a day to connect with other girls who love ideas as much as laughs. Teacher Bio: Julie Wilson has served as a youth, worship, & music director for 30 years. She has often led and been a speaker for retreats and conferences as well as leading small group studies for women and girls. She is in her 15th year of being a homeschool mom, She delights in a well-brewed cup of tea, a compelling read, and the rituals that make that pairing feel timeless.
