This Bible class is designed to help students understand Scripture as one unified story of God’s plan of redemption, ultimately fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Rather than studying Bible stories as isolated events, students will learn how the people, promises, covenants, events, and themes of Scripture fit together and point forward to Christ. Throughout the course, students will work through the major storyline of the Bible from creation and the fall, through God’s promises and work in the Old Testament, to the coming of Christ, His death and resurrection, the growth of His Church, and the hope of His return. Our goal is for students to grow in both biblical knowledge and biblical understanding. Students will learn not only what happened in Scripture, but why it matters, how each part fits within the larger story of redemption, and how God’s Word applies to their own lives. Lessons will be taught at an age-appropriate level with an emphasis on clear biblical teaching, class discussion, thoughtful questions, and helping students develop the ability to read and understand Scripture for themselves.
