This 4th/5th grade reading class strengthens students’ ability to tackle complex texts with confidence. Instruction emphasizes morphology (prefixes, suffixes, and roots) to support vocabulary growth, explores a wide range of literary genres, and builds reading comprehension skills. Through rich texts, discussion, and written responses, students develop deeper understanding of what they read.
