Home Economics This course helps students develop practical life skills they can use into adulthood. Through hands-on activities, real-life scenarios, and meaningful projects, students will learn about personal finance, meal planning and food preparation, clothing care, child development, household management, healthy relationships, and career readiness. The focus is on building confidence, responsibility, and independence in a supportive environment. Bio for Jamie Roger: I am a veteran educator with 17 years of experience teaching upper elementary through high school students in History, English Language Arts, and Art. I have taught in homeschool co-ops, educated my own children, and currently teach in Hillsborough County public schools, though my heart has always remained in the homeschool community. I specialize in discussion-based, hands-on learning that encourages students to think critically, communicate confidently, and make real-world connections while creating engaging, supportive classrooms where students feel challenged, inspired, and excited to learn.
