Portfolio Evaluation (DOES NOT MEET PEP Testing Requirement but does meet Unique Abilities Requirement). If you homeschool under a Notice of Intent, a PE meets the evaluation requirement. A portfolio evaluation is a one-on-one evaluation of your student’s work over the course of the year. This typically includes samples of work, activities, and progress that demonstrate learning and growth. ------->Appointments available Mondays throughout the summer. Cost: $65 for the first child, $35 for each additional child Evaluation Requirements: The state of Florida requires that you maintain a log of educational activities (subjects, lessons, reading materials, samples of student’s work throughout the school year, and a reading list). You are required by state law to maintain the portfolio information for 2 years. About the Practitioner: Shelley Whisenant is a wife to one and a mama of five. She has a BA in International Studies, an MA in Cross-Cultural Communication, and a graduate certificate in both Teaching English as a Second Language, and Dyslexia Education. She started her education career in public school, has taught in community college, in homeschool co-ops, and privately as well. Shelley has been homeschooling for 22 years. She has graduated four, and is still homeschooling one more.
