Invention Challenge Academy is a hands-on, creativity-driven class where students explore real inventions and learn how innovation evolves over time. Instead of just studying ideas, they actively improve them. Each week, students brainstorm, design, build, test, and refine their own solutions to real-world problems hands on using simple materials and big ideas. Through this process, they develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, teamwork, and resilience. Students learn that innovation is never “finished” — and that even small improvements can create meaningful progress. This class encourages curiosity, confidence, and the mindset that anyone can be an inventor. Teacher Bio: Tonya Ledford is a homeschool mom of two teens, who have been homeschooled their entire lives. With training and certifications in child development, positive behavior support, and emotional regulation, she brings years of experience creating structured, positive learning environments.
