This course gives students a thoughtful, balanced look at the major world religions shaping our culture today. We’ll explore the core beliefs, practices, and stories behind Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and several modern spiritual movements. The goal isn’t to win an argument—it’s to understand the people around us, think critically, and see how different belief systems answer life’s biggest questions: Who are we? Why are we here? What’s wrong with the world? How do we fix it? Students will learn how to compare worldviews, identify similarities and differences, and respectfully engage in conversations about faith with clarity and confidence. Along the way, we’ll look at how culture, history, and modern issues shape what people believe today. This is a great class for students who are curious, thoughtful, or preparing for college environments where many different beliefs intersect.
