About This Activity
Bring back the absolute best of the schoolyard! Recess Revival is an action-packed, high-energy class that introduces students to classic neighborhood games, playground sports, and vintage field day challenges. Kids will run, jump, dodge, and strategize while building physical coordination, agility, and a strong sense of teamwork. From epic games of Capture the Flag and Kickball to playground favorites like Four Square and retro relay races, every activity is designed to build confidence, encourage healthy sportsmanship, and celebrate the joy of staying active. Teacher Bio: My name is Desiree Windle. I have been homeschooling since 2014 and currently homeschool our four children. Our family has been part of HEAT since 2014, with seasons spent serving on short- and long-term missions ranging from six months to a year. My husband is in ministry, and together we love the Lord and serving both locally and abroad. At home, I enjoy baking and cooking (especially sourdough), gardening, and cheering on football. Homeschooling, faith, and community are close to my heart, and I’m grateful to be part of HEAT.
