Get in the Game This Summer-Street Hockey! Join our Youth Street Hockey Summer Camp for fast-paced play, new skills, and tons of fun. Kids will learn stickhandling, passing, shooting, teamwork, and game strategy-all in a friendly outdoor environment. Other activities will include Field Hockey, Box Hockey, and Hockey BINGO! All equipment will be provided. Participants need to wear tennis shoes, bring a water bottle, and a light snack. The focus will be on building confidence, sportsmanship, and keeping every player active and engaged. Register today and hit the pavement ready to play! Bio: My name is Nancy Nowakowski, a retired physical education teacher from Hillsborough County Schools. I will be assisting with Tampa Bay HEAT Homeschooling to offer Street Hockey classes. Who: Girls and Boys Ages 7-12 Mandatory Requirement: Closed-Toe Shoe (Tennis Shoe), NO CROCS!! Street Hockey is one of the fastest-growing sports in the US, especially in Florida, where access to ice hockey is not that easily accessible. It keeps kids moving, teaches real technical skills, and supports their overall physical fitness in a way that feels more like fun than a workout! Fundamental skills of hockey will be taught and practiced through drills and scrimmage games, along with what it means to be a team player and a good sport on and off the court.
