About This Activity
The Tampa Bay Heat Cheer Team is a high-energy, YEAR-LONG CHEER PROGRAM for athletes ages 6–18. During the Fall semester, cheerleaders will focus on skill development, learning stunting techniques such as squishes, preps, low libs, cradles, and barrel rolls, along with cheer dance, choreographed routines, and game-day cheers to build timing, performance quality, and confidence. In the Spring semester, athletes will put these skills into action by cheering at HEAT flag football and boys volleyball games. Cheerleaders will continue performing and refining the cheers learned in the Fall while improving sharp motions, clean technique, teamwork, and HEAT spirit. When possible, athletes will be split into smaller groups by age to ensure appropriate instruction and progression. **TUITION INCLUDES COST OF UNIFORM AND BOW FOR THE SEASON** Teacher Bio: Tonya Ledford is a homeschool mom of two teens, who have been homeschooled their entire lives. With training and certifications in child development, positive behavior support, and emotional regulation, She brings years of experience creating structured, positive learning environments. Emma Ledford has 9 years of Cheerleading experience and 4 years of coaching and Junior coaching experience.
