About This Activity
Advance Art of Argument: Debate 2.0 is designed for students with prior debate experience who are ready to take their skills to the next level. Building on foundational debate techniques, students develop advanced argumentation, formal debate strategies, cross-examination, research, and evidence-based reasoning through competitive debates and real world issues. This course strengthens critical thinking, persuasive communication, leadership, and public speaking while fostering respectful, thoughtful engagement with complex topics. My name is Ashley “Ash” Knutson. I’m a homeschool parent to an energetic 14-year-old and have been married for 18 years, following my husband’s military career across the U.S. and overseas. I bring years of teaching experience in public schools, co-ops, and enrichment programs, holding a teacher-aide paraprofessional and NCMA degree with a medical background supporting diverse learners. I’ve taught subjects ranging from debate and history to arts, geography, and team building. My classes focus on critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and fostering a genuine love of learning.
