About This Activity
Students team up to turn everyday junk into epic creations while competing in themed build challenges. From steampunk machines to underwater inventions and futuristic designs, creativity, teamwork, and imagination rule this hands-on class. My name is Ashley “Ash” Knutson, and I am a homeschool parent to an energetic 13-year-old adventurer who loves to learn. I’ve been married to my husband for 17 years and have followed his military career, for the past 16 years, both stateside and overseas, which has shaped my appreciation for diverse communities and learning styles. I bring over 20 years of teaching experience in public schools, homeschool co-ops, and enrichment programs. I hold a teacher-aide paraprofessional degree and an NCMA degree, with a medical background supporting students with a variety of learning and physical needs. I have had the privilege of teaching a diverse range of subjects, including debate, geography, arts and crafts, history, team building and more.
