Class Description: This course takes students on an interactive journey through the foundational years of the United States, from early Native American cultures and European exploration through the Civil War, Reconstruction and the Industrial Revolution. Students will investigate the major political, economic, and social turning points that shaped the nation, including the American Revolution, the drafting of the U.S. Constitution, and westward expansion. By acting as historians—analyzing maps, timelines, and original documents—students will explore how different groups, influenced the American identity. Teacher bio: I’ve been teaching for almost 10 years now. I enjoy history and how it has shaped our world. I love making learning fun for my students and try to do so whenever possible. I love cooking with my husband and raising my family.
