Hop into the time machine! In this interactive class, elementary students travel through history to discover how music and rhythm have evolved over thousands of years. Through listening, creative movement, dance, and historical games, students will explore musical concepts like tempo, dynamics, and rhythm. From prehistoric drum circles and royal castle balls to big band swing and electronic beats, students will enjoy hands-on instrument play and lively group activities. No prior musical experience or instrument knowledge is required! Teacher Bio: My name is Desiree Windle. I have been homeschooling since 2014 and currently homeschool our four children. Our family has been part of HEAT since 2014, with seasons spent serving on short- and long-term missions ranging from six months to a year. My husband is in ministry, and together we love the Lord and serving both locally and abroad. At home, I enjoy baking and cooking (especially sourdough), gardening, and cheering on football. Homeschooling, faith, and community are close to my heart, and I’m grateful to be part of HEAT.
