About This Activity
What is veterinary medicine? Have you ever asked yourself what goes on behind the closed doors at your vets office? We are going to open those doors and learn everything about what veterinary medicine is. There are many aspects, many diagnosis, many jobs, and many different kinds of animals. Each week we are going to dive into job descriptions, anatomy and physiology, animal husbandry, pharmacology, among many other endless things. I hope to bring my passion of working in the veterinary field to life as we go through this class. This class will open the eyes of your children and show them a future that they may have with veterinary medicine. Bio: Hi, my name is Ashley Waters I have been working in the Veterinary field for 22 years. I have worked at a small Animal Clinic, a spay and neuter clinic, with pocket pets and all the farm animals you can think of. I decided last year that I wanted to hang up my scrubs and homeschool my kids so here we are in the homeschool journey. I decided that I could help out and teach everything that I’ve learned in my 22 years of being a vet tech, and I’m really excited about sharing my knowledge with your children. My hobbies are following Jesus, riding horses and hanging out with my husband and my kids.
