About This Activity
Elementary LEGO Engineering Lab (Time Slot 1) This hands-on class focuses on educational, structured play using LEGO as a creative learning tool. Students will explore simple machines, basic engineering concepts, patterns, structures, and more through guided building challenges. Each week, students will use LEGO to learn new concepts, spark curiosity, and strengthen problem-solving skills in a fun and engaging environment. Through teamwork and creative design, they will build confidence while developing foundational STEM understanding. Teacher Bio: I’m Ian McNair! I am a 20 year old college student currently enrolled with Sophia.edu. I moved to Florida from Kentucky in 2021. I’ve loved Legos my whole life, with them often taking up much of my time and Christmas gift budget. I have had 3 years of experience working with students in many different contexts. I was the head coach for FCA TBCAL soccer, I've been with FPEA working their homeschool convention for 3 years, and I currently volunteer within my church's student ministry as an 8th grade leader!
