Middle School LEGO Engineering Lab (Time Slot 1) This course uses LEGO as a hands-on tool for structured, project-based learning. Students will explore engineering and design concepts such as simple and compound machines, structural stability, patterns, and system design. Students will plan, build, test, and refine their creations while developing critical thinking and advanced problem-solving skills. With a focus on real-world application, this class provides a deeper understanding of how engineering and design principles work beyond the classroom. Teacher Bio: I’m Ian McNair! I am a 20 year old college student currently enrolled with Sophia.edu. I moved to Florida from Kentucky in 2021. I’ve loved Legos my whole life, with them often taking up much of my time and Christmas gift budget. I have had 3 years of experience working with students in many different contexts. I was the head coach for FCA TBCAL soccer, I've been with FPEA working their homeschool convention for 3 years, and I currently volunteer within my church's student ministry as an 8th grade leader!
