About This Activity
Become the ultimate reality architect! In this intensive Minecraft design program, students won't just play in existing worlds--they'll design, build, and populate their own custom dimensions where their original superheroes and villains clash. This class will transform students into digital engineers who are skilled at writing a compelling backstory, creating a unique world, and developing heroes and villains within that world. Students will need a laptop, tablet, iPad, or mobile phone and access to Minecraft with a Minecraft account. Teacher Bio: Tanci Mishler has been working with children and teens in the library since she graduated from high school. She has a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and a Master's degree in Library and Information Science. She has taught classes for homeschoolers since 2008 as part of the library programs she coordinated and implemented through the Hillsborough County Public Library. After leaving the library system to home school her own children, she began offering STEAM Station programs at local libraries and began teaching a variety of classes with the Tampa Bay Heat.
