About This Activity
Step into the director’s chair and bring the inanimate to life! In this hands-on creative lab, students will explore the magic of stop-motion animation. From initial concept and character design to final editing, students will master the art of "frame-by-frame" storytelling using clay, paper, LEGOs, and everyday objects. Teacher Bio: Tanci Mishler has been working with children and teens in the library since she graduated from high school. She has a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and a Master's degree in Library and Information Science. She has taught classes for homeschoolers since 2008 as part of the library programs she coordinated and implemented through the Hillsborough County Public Library. After leaving the library system to home school her own children, she began offering STEAM Station programs at local libraries and began teaching a variety of classes with the Tampa Bay Heat.
