This is a fun, engaging course designed for students who want to build strong bodies and healthy habits. This class combines basic physical education—with a focus on calisthenics, fitness games and strength training principles with foundational nutrition education that teaches students how to “fuel their bodies” with whole foods. Students will learn the science of nutrition in simple, age-appropriate ways, while also practicing daily movement routines that improve strength, endurance, coordination, and confidence and spend the other half of class applying it in activity. Brandie has been an in field sports nutritionist and personal trainer for over 10 years and has a passion for teaching healthy habits and principles to younger generations to set them up for success. She loves spending time with her husband and two kids, growing her own food, drinking coffee and being at the beach.
