About This Activity
This Financial Literacy course will include the following topics: the basics of money, setting financial goals, budgeting, saving and investing, understanding credit, insurance, taxes, financial institutions, and choosing a career. Textbook: Dave Ramsey’s Foundations in Personal Finance. There will be a separate course textbook fee of $30 payable to the instructor (not Step Up reimbursable). Details will be emailed to families prior to the start of the course. I'm Andrea. I have been married for 22 years, and my husband is retired from the United States Air Force. I earned a BA from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma. Between earning degrees, I worked as a substitute teacher in Michigan and while stationed in Texas. I was a pediatric nurse until our daughter was born and I homeschool her. When we are not occupied by her competitive dance schedule, we enjoy traveling. We love cruising and visiting theme parks.
