About This Activity
Little Science Discoveries (Ages 5–7) This hands-on class is designed for K–1st grade students to explore the exciting world of science! Each week, we discuss a new science topic across all areas of science—life, physical, earth, and space while learning what science is, who scientists are, and the different kinds of scientists—all while becoming little scientists ourselves. Lessons are very visual and interactive, with hands-on activities that make learning fun and memorable. Any worksheets are simple—students may color, circle, or match items; no reading or writing skills are required for this class. This class encourages curiosity, exploration, and a love of science through hands-on learning and play in a fun, age-appropriate environment! Hi! I’m Kelly Krutz, and I’m excited to be teaching again this year. I have been homeschooling for seven years and have been part of the Tampa Bay HEAT community for five years. Teaching and working with kids has always been a passion of mine, and I love making learning hands-on, engaging, and fun.
